This place is a guy’s paradise in many ways, most of which will surprise you. Nairobi has been on the up and up for awhile, and that definitely includes the sex scene, which is just as inundated with working girls as other famous mongering destinations.

Indeed, Nairobi is pretty incredible in more ways than one, and an ideal location for guys that are more into the non-pro side of things – although you can get super hot prostitutes for less than 10 USD.

What to Know Beforehand

Let me address some of the bigger misconceptions before we delve into all this.

First off, Nairobi is incredibly safe. Yes, they’ve had a few incidents from time to time over the last decade, but this is not unlike many western cities. As long as you stay in this part of the country, and really even Mombasa on the east coast, you’re more than fine, and a lot safer than in some Latin countries for sure.

Secondly, one of the first things you’ll notice is how friendly everyone here is. Genuinely friendly, it’s pretty awesome. The moment you arrive at the airport, you’ll see what I’m talking about. The same goes for anywhere you are in town.

Yeah, you might catch a glimpse of a giraffe walking around outside town from time to time, but Nairobi is very much civilized, and increasingly modern. Think of it like seeing cows or horses on the outskirts of many midwestern states in the U.S..

The city itself is very safe too, and although I never really recommend being out and about after dark in major cities anywhere, if you do end up walking around in the better parts of town, you’ll have nothing to worry about.

As I’ve said, this city is on the rise, and that includes infrastructure, and the education and job skills of the local populace. Nairobi is the Silicon Valley of Africa. A little rough around the edges in some spots, but expect that to change soon.

Culture

I’ll try to be brief here. For the most part, Nairobi has a sort of westernized feel to it in a lot of ways, or at least as close as you can get for an African city. The language barrier is practically non existent as well, with the overwhelming majority of residents learning English from the 1st grade and on (Kenya used to be a British colony). Kenyan English has a lot of similarities to British English, but there are also some caveats that will take some getting used to if you’re a western-dwelling mzungu (the African version of a gringo – a white foreigner).

Swahili is the official local language that’s also common in other East African countries. Two useful words you should know are “asante” (thank you) and “jambo” (how are you?).

The guys here are extremely friendly and chatty, and you’ll no doubt make some genuine new friends during your exploits. No jealousy or hostility here, and certainly not like you’d get in a place like South Africa. Nairobians are laid back and happy to host you. They’re also fairly up to date on western music and television.

Girls

As for the women (the reason you’re actually here), you’re in for a treat. Nairobi girls are open-minded, speak English, straight forward, proud, sexual, and very easy to get along with. Downtown (also known as CBD) is more crowded and can be a little overwhelming if it’s your first time in Kenya, but this is where the city’s main red light district is located, with brothels and street hookers along River Road and strip clubs along Keekorok Road.

It works like this: You walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor, past the security guy (no entrance fee) and into the bar, which is rectangular-shaped with different seating areas. I’d stay away from the back as the music is usually pretty loud there (afternoons are better though) and just take a seat near the bar area, from where you have a good overview of the place and ladies. Depending on the time of day, there are between 30 and 50 freelancers (among them some 8s or 9s), each of them eager to sit next to you, have a chat and a drink, or maybe get down to business straight away:

They will be ready to have sex with you for about 1,000 KSh. Some girls ask for as little as 500, while others hope they can get 2,000 from you as a mzungu. Once you’ve agreed on a price, you can either go to one of the four very basic rooms in the back with just a bed in it (300 KSh, 30 minutes) or to a somewhat nicer room with bathroom upstairs (1,000 KSh, 3 hours). They also provide 3-pack condoms for 150 KSh extra.

Similar bars that function as brothels with exactly the same concept (lots of freelancers and short time rooms) are VIP Classic Bar, Young Drifters and Sophia Joy Bar (from better to so-so in this order), all located in the same downtown area.

As for regular bars, Havana in Westlands is a longtime favorite, and a popular spot for expats bringing their dates (more on dating below). During the day, you can watch a football game and chat it up, but when the work day lets out, it starts to fill up with a solid amount of Nairobi girls. Definitely come by more than once as they have good food, too. You’ll pay 350 KSh for a Tusker beer (500ml).Escorts in Nairobi can be gotten from any Westlands clubs.

K1 Club House (also Westlands) is probably the most popular nightclub that has a good amount of girls (both black and white) hanging out as well.

Nairobi Girls in Strip Clubs

Nairobi has a sizable strip club scene, many of which also function as brothels, whether it’s official or not. You’ll find these spots all over, including the outskirts of the city, and right smack in the middle.

You can obviously walk in one and do the standard drink and watch thing but all of the girls are for sale, either right there in the club, or your place after. The strip clubs usually have rooms for sex on the premises, so it’s not hard to get in and out in under an hour. You don’t really get hustled, and things are very cheap for the most part.

The infamous Keekorok Road in downtown is the main hotspot for strip clubs in Nairobi, with three different places to choose from: Gabeez, Bavon and Liddos. Give them all a try and see what you like best.

As for the prices, they charge an admission fee of 200 KSh at Gabeez, 300 KSh (regular) or 1,000 KSh (VIP) at Bavon and 500 KSh (regular) or 1,000 KSh (VIP) at Liddos. A beer will cost you 300 or 350 KSh, a lap dance around 500 KSh, and 5,000 KSh is what the good looking girls are asking for a sex session (room on site included, the girl’s share is about 2,000 KSh in this case).

The third type of sex worker in Nairobi you can easily get for little money are the street hookers, and here again the two main hotspots are found in downtown:
